Soar Into Bird Photography: 4 Essential Tips for Beginning Bird Photographers
Here are four beginner tips from established bird photographer Chiara Talia
Note: This tip comes from Chiara Talia’s YouTube Video- What I Wish I knew When I First Started Bird Photography
Tip #1 – Go out early or late in the day. Skip midday shooting or photograph something else while you wait.
Tip #2 – Getting close isn’t everything. Make use of the environment to tell stories about your bird subjects.
Tip #3 – Stop taking photos of birds on the ground or the water at a standing level.
Eye level or lower with the bird or birds is the best camera position.
Tip #4 – Great bird photography doesn’t happen by chance. Change your mindset from reactive to proactive.
